Mark is the Managing Director of Resolution Arch.

Mark has steered Resolution Arch since its inception, building the team who have helped to shape it into the award-winning, multi-disciplined practice it is today. For Mark, successful design is timeless and striking, yet functional. He finds true enjoyment in collaborating closely with a client to achieve their vision and achieving outcomes beyond expectations.

Away from the office, Mark loves to explore and travel with his family. He is heavily involved with the Mount Albert Rugby League Club, which he has been a member of for most of his life.

Mark is a Registered Architect with over 25 years’ experience in the industry. Mark has designed several award-winning homes, and now heads Resolution Arch, the company founded in answer to New Zealand’s leaky building crisis.

Today, Mark leads large, complex remediation projects from concept through to construction. He is highly skilled technically, with a particular talent for solving difficult problems with creative and practical solutions. Mark believes good design genuinely improve people’s lives, which is particularly true in remedial projects.

Mark is a Westie at heart – he loves the West Coast beaches, as well as football and travelling with his family.

Bo is an Architectural Designer with over 16 years’ experience across residential, remedial and commercial projects.

Bo leads Infusion Arch, with a focus on multi-unit development and residential projects. His expertise lies in creating thoughtful, efficient designs within site restraints. For Bo, there’s great satisfaction in the creative and collaborative process of design; solving problems, thinking through every detail and watching a project come to life.

Originally from China, Bo’s understanding of both Eastern and Western cultures shapes his architectural practice, and allows him to work closely with the Asian community in a New Zealand context. He loves to spend time with his family, and finds inspiration in experiencing new cultures.

Sam is an Architectural Designer with over 25 years’ industry experience. Today, Sam leads Creative Arch’s residential projects – from community and terraced housing to high end new builds and renovations.

With his background in construction and a creative, distinctive design style, Sam has been responsible for numerous award-winning projects. Architecture has always been Sam’s passion, and he genuinely believes that design can positively impact communities and the environment. He thoroughly enjoys helping clients achieve their dream.

When not designing, Sam and his family can be found by the water, camping, swimming and enjoying the outdoors.

Tony is a Registered Architect with close to 20 years’ experience in New Zealand, and the wider Pacific.

Experienced in all phases of design, from project inception to construction completion, Tony draws on his technical, social, and cultural expertise to empower communities to play a pivotal role in shaping the collaborative design process for spaces that serve their needs and reflect their identity.

Tony’s experience in architecture has reinforced a belief that people are the epicentre of meaningful design; how we live, how we interact, and the spaces we inhabit.

Outside of work, Tony enjoys embracing the outdoors of Aotearoa with his wife and six children—whether trail running, surfing, fishing, or towing the kids around on a biscuit or two. This love for adventure and the natural environment continues to inspire him, reinforcing his commitment to designs that are both thoughtful and connected to the land.

Johanna leads Resolution Arch’s financial management. She brings years of expertise in the legal and financial industries to her role, continually developing the company’s systems to ensure the team is supported by the latest and most effective business practices.

Johanna has a long-held interest in architecture and interior design, and loves watching the team’s projects come to life. Away from the office, Johanna can be found relaxing with family and friends, or in the garden. She loves travelling, walking and reading.

Scott has been a Registered Architect for over 20 years, with experience spanning a wide range of project types, sizes and levels of complexity.

These days, Scott leads many of Creative Arch’s projects through concept, detailed design and construction observation stages.

He is both a creative, imaginative designer and highly skilled in construction methodologies.

For Scott, seeing good design ideas translated into the built reality never gets old, and he believes architecture can remain meaningful long after those who built it are gone.

Scott enjoys nature in all forms and spending time with his children, who are now embarking on their own career paths.

Pippa is a Registered Architect with experience in New Zealand, her native UK, and Ireland. She has a wide range of experience in the education, healthcare, government, residential and commercial sectors.

Pippa’s strength lies in building relationships between consultants, stakeholders and specialist manufacturers to ensure high quality, carefully considered designs. She enjoys working collaboratively with a team to solve complex problems. Pippa also has a particular interest in improving the sustainability of the built environment, and in innovative construction materials and methodologies.

Outside of the office, Pippa loves exploring the mountains and the sea through skiing, tramping, camping and swimming.

Mark is an Architectural Designer with over 25 years’ experience in the design, documentation and construction phases of numerous large-scale projects, including education, retail, housing and remediation.

Mark’s desire is to help ensure the delivery of good design. He enjoys knowing that clients have received something better than they hoped for at the outset. Many years of experience on complex commercial projects has given him an appreciation of attention to detail.

Outside the office, Mark enjoys gardening and home projects as well as mountain biking. He also plays saxophone and is a keen member of a carnival band that occasionally tours overseas.

Fong is an Architectural Designer with over 15 years’ experience in New Zealand and his native Malaysia. His expertise lies in taking a conceptual design through developed and detailed design, to create considered, thorough consent documentation.

Since joining Resolution Arch, Fong has worked across residential new builds and renovations, as well as multi-unit developments and remedial projects. Fong enjoys that every project provides a unique, complex problem to solve, and he is always interested in exploring new architectural methodologies.

After a day at work, Fong likes to spend time outside gardening and embracing New Zealand’s natural environment.

Dylan is an Architectural Designer who is highly skilled at transforming conceptual designs into constructed reality. Since joining Creative Arch, he has been responsible for the detailed documentation of numerous high-end residential renovation and new build projects.

For Dylan, there’s great satisfaction in developing clients’ dreams into reality. He has always enjoyed solving complex problems and was interested in carpentry and mechanics from a young age. If he hadn’t become a designer, Dylan would be a carpenter.

Outside of the office, he enjoys being on the tools and DIY projects.

Fei is a skilled Architectural Technician with a particular knack for solving intricate junctions and creating construction details with millimetre precision. He specialises in translating conceptual designs into construction reality through the detailed design phase.

Fei has been inspired throughout his architectural career by his father, a bricklayer with a keen eye for detail, and since graduating in 2017, his focus has been on the technical side of architecture. He has worked on a range of projects from residential, multi-residential and commercial projects, and enjoys making a client’s brief come to life.

Outside of work, Fei enjoys Chinese tea ceremonies and playing table tennis.

Kriselle is an Architectural Designer who spent the first part of her career working on residential and light commercial buildings.

Since joining Creative Arch, she has worked across residential, multi-unit developments and remedial architecture.

For Kriselle, there’s enjoyment in all parts of the architectural process, from planning and concept through to construction, and there’s a unique thrill in seeing a drawing come to life.

When not drawing for work, Kriselle sketches and paints for the joy of it. She’s also a great party host, and loves being outdoors, exploring new places.

Madeleine is an Architectural Designer who started her career as a journalist, working in London’s media world for five years before returning to New Zealand to study architecture. When asked why the seemingly contrary career choices, Madeleine will tell you architecture and journalism are both studies of people; how they live and interact.

Since joining Creative Arch, Madeleine has worked on residential and remedial projects, and is interested in architecture that makes positive, tangible changes on environmental and socio-cultural levels.

Outside of the office, Madeleine spends most of her time with family and friends, or with her nose in a book.

Alessana is Resolution Arch’s administration backbone, keeping the team and the office organised.

Having worked across a range of industries, she brings a wealth of experience and joined the Creative Arch team to learn more about the world of architecture.

Alessana has always admired how architecture is able to transform and give meaning to a space, creating places for social and community connection.

Away from the office, Alessana loves a good TV series and plenty of time spent in the sunshine.
